Bringing Quality Cultural Events
|
The Montrose Arts Council is based in Montrose, Colorado, on the western slope of the state, situated in a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains, pleateaus and mesas. Organized in 1972, we are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with an annual membership and a volunteer board. We provide a variety of entertaining events each year, but do not limit ourselves to performing arts. We collaborate with other non-profit organizations with similar interests, support visual arts, and award summer camp scholarships to Montrose County students who are pursuing the arts. We are open to suggestions from our community for other types of support the arts may need. Recently we purchased two bronze statues (pictured above) and donated them to the City of Montrose for permanent viewing. Please look at our Events page for performances we are sponsoring and contributing to and consider joining our group of fine members on the Membership page. With most of the Individual and Family Levels of membership, you will receive one or more Free Passes to use at our events. On the Supporters page you will see the many businesses and individuals who have lended extra support in the recent months. If you are a student who is attending a summer camp for the arts, please go to the Scholarship page and complete the form (between March 1 --May 1) and mail it to our PO Box for consideration. Names of our past scholarship winners and their area of talent are listed. You may contact the Board Members by going to our Contact Us page or leave a message on our phone, 970-240-0ART (240-0278). We thank you for visiting our website and if you would like to be on our Email list, please send your name and email address to MontroseArtsCouncil@gmail.com |
